Alketa Vejsiu has issued a public response following tensions and clashes between protesters and police in Tirana. In a message shared on social media, the television presenter urged Albanians not to turn against one another even when they disagree about the government, the opposition or how protests are conducted.
Her central point was that the country does not belong to any single government, party, protest or generation. Vejsiu closed with the line “Albania belongs to all of us” and a prayer for protection.
