The Tirana court has ordered the security measure of house arrest for singer Jozefin Marku, known as Joz Marku, and Kristjan Nikolli.
The decision was reported on September 9 by Top Channel and was also carried by Loki Magazine. According to Top Channel, prosecutors had requested pre-trial detention for both men, but the court imposed the less restrictive measure following the security hearing.
The proceeding concerns a conflict involving Eduard Kuçi. The circumstances, each person’s role and other matters in the case remain under investigation. Claims made by prosecutors therefore must not be treated as proven facts.
House arrest is a security measure during the proceedings, not a sentence or a final determination of guilt. Jozefin Marku and Kristjan Nikolli are entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until a final court judgment establishes otherwise.
This article reflects only the new procedural development confirmed by identifiable reporting: the measure ordered by the court and the continuing investigation. It draws no conclusion about any person’s criminal responsibility.
