STATUS: REPORTED TALKS
Real Sociedad have opened renewal talks with Álex Remiro and presented the goalkeeper with an offer, according to a Diario AS report published on October 7.
Remiro's current contract expires on June 30, 2027. If he does not renew earlier, he can begin talks with other clubs in January. AS says the parties have made initial contact but have not reached an agreement on the financial terms.
Sporting director Erik Bretos stated publicly in September that the club wanted to keep the goalkeeper and would sit down for talks soon. The new development is that those talks have begun and a proposal is now on the table.
There is no signed renewal, new contract length, salary or confirmed clause. Until Real Sociedad or Remiro announces an agreement, the matter remains at the reported negotiation stage.
