STATUS: REPORTED TALKS
The reported agreement between Dani Carvajal and Getafe is not complete. Club president Ángel Torres told El Chiringuito on October 7 that “there is no agreement” and that every party — the club, player and LaLiga — must approve the move.
That statement corrects earlier reports presenting the medical as completed and a verbal agreement as finalised. Torres added that Getafe would continue trying to make the operation happen, but no official announcement was expected during the day.
Carvajal is a free agent and can sign outside the regular transfer window, but Getafe must create room within their squad-cost limit to register him. LaLiga has not approved that process.
There is no signed contract, registration, confirmed salary or debut date. Until Getafe, the player or LaLiga issues an official announcement, the matter remains at the negotiation stage.
