STATUS: REPORTED TALKS

Harry Kane and Bayern Munich have reached a breakthrough in principle over extending their relationship, according to reports from Florian Plettenberg and Fabrizio Romano. A new contract is being planned through 2029.

This is not yet an official renewal. Bayern have not announced a signature, a new expiry date or financial terms. The development therefore describes the negotiation stage rather than a completed agreement.

The England striker’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027. Kane recently said talks were moving in a positive direction and that he expected greater clarity within the coming weeks.

The new element is the reported progress over the length and structure of the deal. Until the club or player confirms it publicly, 2029 and every other detail remain part of the journalists’ reporting.
