STATUS: REPORTED TALKS

Tottenham have opened talks over a new contract with Lucá Williams-Barnett, according to a report by journalist Tom Barclay published on October 7.

Williams-Barnett turned 18 on October 1 and his current deal is believed to run until 2028. The report says Spurs want to tie the academy talent to fresh terms, but gives no duration, salary or indication that an agreement has been reached.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are named among the clubs with him on their radar, while Chelsea and Manchester United are reported to be monitoring his progress. This is reported interest: there is no confirmed bid, club-to-club approach or transfer request from the player.

Williams-Barnett has made his first-team debut, but interest from other clubs does not mean Tottenham have decided to sell. Until the club or player makes an announcement, the development remains a reported renewal negotiation.
