STATUS: UNCONFIRMED REPORT

A broad restructuring is reportedly being prepared for “Fiks Fare”, one of Top Channel’s longest-running investigative formats. According to a Vox News report published on 20 August 2026, the new season could bring changes to the programme’s leadership, presenters and editorial team.

WHAT IS BEING REPORTED

Vox News says Filip Çakuli is expected to leave the programme’s leadership after many years. The same report says Julian Deda and Xhemi Shehu may not continue as presenters, while editor-in-chief Denisa Haxhiaj is also reportedly set to leave her role.

According to the outlet, journalist Antela Lika is expected to assume editorial leadership. The new presenters have not been named, and the report claims that the selection may be made from within Top Channel’s staff.

WHAT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED

Top Channel has not issued an official announcement confirming the departure of Filip Çakuli, Julian Deda, Xhemi Shehu or Denisa Haxhiaj. The broadcaster has also not presented the editorial lead or presenters for the new season.

The changes are therefore being presented as an unconfirmed report, not as final decisions. Until the broadcaster or the people involved issue a statement, the proposed structure may still change.

WHY IT MATTERS

“Fiks Fare” has long been one of Albania’s best-known investigative and satirical television programmes. Simultaneous changes to its leadership, presenters and newsroom would amount to one of the biggest resets in its recent history.

Top Channel’s official programme page still lists Julian Deda and Xhemi Shehu as presenters of the edition that aired through 31 July 2026. That reflects the completed season and does not confirm the line-up for the upcoming one.
