Egla Ceno has given her account of an argument during the public hearing on territorial reform in Berat. The actress said she was part of a group representing Poliçan and intervened after, in her telling, several residents were unable to speak.
In comments to Top Channel on September 13, 2026, Ceno said she asked Prime Minister Edi Rama whether he would listen to those present. According to her, Rama replied “Leave” and later called for the meeting to pause until she had left the room.
Ceno also said the other community representatives walked out with her. Top Channel separately reported that the meeting included disputes involving the prime minister, local representatives and the actress.
After the episode, Ceno also posted a response on Instagram. She said she felt insulted as an artist, citizen and woman, and maintained that she had only wanted Poliçan’s voice to be heard. The actress raised concern that communities affected by the reform were not being meaningfully included in the dialogue. Loki Magazine reported the response on September 13.
This report directly attributes the words and sequence to Ceno. At update time, no complete official transcript had been located to verify every line, and no dedicated response from the prime minister addressing her account or subsequent statement had been found.
