Real Madrid have officially confirmed that Thibaut Courtois is a last-minute absence for today’s match against Barcelona, corresponding to La Liga Matchday 10.
THE CONFIRMED REASON
In the notice published on October 25, the club said the goalkeeper is unavailable because of a flu-like illness. The official statement provides no further diagnosis, return timeline or additional medical detail.
WHAT CHANGES FOR REAL MADRID
Courtois’s absence forces Real Madrid to change their goalkeeping plan for one of the season’s biggest matches. The club has not described this as a long-term injury, and any prediction about future fixtures would remain unconfirmed.
El Clásico is scheduled for the evening of October 25 at Camp Nou and is part of Matchday 10 of the Spanish league season.
