Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas are the official 2026 Ballon d’Or winners. The results were announced at the London ceremony and published by the award organisers, UEFA and Reuters.

KANE ENDS A 25-YEAR WAIT

The Bayern Munich striker became the first Englishman to win the men’s award since Michael Owen in 2001. UEFA records 73 goals for club and country during the 2025/26 season, with Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal completing the podium.

PUTELLAS, FOR A THIRD TIME

Putellas claimed the prize for a third time after her 2021 and 2022 triumphs. The official Ballon d’Or site highlights seven goals and seven assists in 11 Champions League matches during her final Barcelona season. She joined London City Lionesses in July.

THE OTHER WINNERS

Elsewhere, Lamine Yamal and Vicky López took the Kopa trophies, Unai Simón and Cata Coll won the Yashin awards, while Luis de la Fuente and Pere Romeu were named coaches of the year. PSG and Barcelona were honoured as clubs of the year.
