REPORTED INTEREST — OCTOBER 12, 2026, 16:34

Bayern Munich are working to keep Michael Olise at the centre of their long-term project, but fresh reporting on the possible terms of a new contract does not amount to a completed agreement.

According to AS, the Bavarian club are prepared to offer the France international a major salary increase and place him among the highest-paid players in the squad. The same report says Olise’s representatives want a release clause included in any new deal, while Bayern would prefer to retain full control over his future.

WHAT IS KNOWN

Olise is under contract with Bayern until June 2029. President Herbert Hainer said on October 12 that he expects the player to extend and stressed that the club are not under pressure to sell.

Sporting director Max Eberl, however, publicly said on October 10 that extension talks had not yet taken place. That means the published figures and conditions should be read as a plan and a report about the parties’ positions, not as completed negotiations.

WHAT REMAINS UNCONFIRMED

Neither Bayern nor Olise have announced a signed offer, new salary, revised term or release clause. AS mentions a possible salary above €25 million and a clause Bayern would prefer to set around €200 million, but neither figure has been confirmed by the club or the player.

Reported interest from Real Madrid forms part of the contractual pressure surrounding the story, but there is no official bid or confirmed transfer. For now, the settled facts remain Olise’s existing deal through 2029 and Bayern’s publicly stated desire to extend it.
