Top Albania Radio broadcasts were interrupted on the morning of October 22 after a fire damaged studio facilities. Wake Up’s initial notice said the programme could not air and that all staff members were safe.
The station’s general director, Ledion Liço, described it as a sad morning and said the team was shaken but working to restore normal operations. The station published his response on its official website.
In an update later that day, Top Channel reported that an electrical spark caused the fire, that studios were damaged and that Wake Up would return on Friday, October 23. ON MEDIA.AL attributes that finding to Top Channel; no technical certificate or official fire-service report has been published.
