NINE LEAGUE-PHASE PLACES AT STAKE
The UEFA Women’s Champions League third qualifying-round draw, held on 11 August 2026, set the nine ties that will determine the final clubs entering the league phase.
In the league path, Eintracht Frankfurt will face Paris Saint-Germain, Wolfsburg meet Inter, Chelsea take on Real Sociedad and Ajax play Real Madrid. The fifth tie pairs St. Pölten with Juventus.
That section of the draw brings together several of the best-known names in European women’s football and guarantees that five of the 10 league-path clubs will not progress through this stage.
THE CHAMPIONS PATH
The four champions-path ties are Sparta Prague–Servette, PSV Eindhoven–HB Køge, Brann–Austria Wien and OH Leuven–Czarni Sosnowiec.
UEFA said the 11 winners of the second qualifying-round finals joined seven teams entering directly at this stage. Four clubs will qualify through the champions path and five through the league path.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
The ties are scheduled in principle for 26 August and 2 September, with the complete fixture list still to be confirmed. Every matchup is played over two legs.
The nine winners will join the nine clubs that qualified directly for the league phase. Defeat does not immediately end a club’s European season: the nine losing teams transfer to the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup second qualifying round.
