APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 300 POSITIONS

The Albanian State Police has opened applications for 300 vacant implementation-role positions in General Patrol structures. The process began on 17 August and remains open until 18 September 2026.

According to the official notice published on 16 August, applications must be submitted to the Human Resources unit at the Local Police Directorate covering the candidate’s permanent residence. The recruitment is presented as a competitive process based on equal opportunity, non-discrimination and merit.

MAIN ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be Albanian citizens and no older than 30. The minimum height is 170 centimetres for men and 160 centimetres for women. Candidates must have completed upper-secondary education and hold a category B driving licence.

The notice also requires full legal capacity, good health, physical fitness for police duties and command of written and spoken Albanian. An applicant must not have a final criminal conviction and must meet reliability and integrity standards.

People previously excluded from the State Police or other national-security structures, or removed from the civil service, are not eligible under the conditions listed in the official order.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

The application file includes the police admission form, an employment self-declaration and the decriminalisation form. Candidates must provide a copy of their identity card, official proof of completing upper-secondary education with a notarised grade transcript, and a copy of their category B driving licence.

The official list also includes a criminal-record certificate, family certificate, confirmations from the court, prosecution service and SPAK, the standard forensic medical report and proof of payment of the application fee. The online notice refers to a fee but does not state the amount; applicants should verify it directly with their Local Police Directorate before making payment.

Human Resources must review the documents within five working days of submission. If an item is missing, the file is returned for completion while the application window remains open. Unsuccessful applicants are notified by email and given the reason for disqualification.

FIVE ASSESSMENT STAGES

The process includes a health examination, physical-fitness test, written test, oral interview and psychological assessment. The written test accounts for 50 per cent of the overall score, physical ability 30 per cent and the oral interview 20 per cent. The psychological test is marked pass or fail.

Candidates proceed only after successfully completing each stage in sequence. A separate order will specify the date, location, procedures and appeal arrangements for every stage.

Successful candidates then undergo reliability checks and fingerprinting. The final winners are selected within the 300-place quota in descending score order and only after meeting the integrity requirements.

APPEALS AND TRAINING

Applicants may appeal the result of any stage within two days of being notified. Final successful candidates will complete basic training at the Professional Police Training College within the Security Academy and sign a contract setting out their rights and obligations during training and subsequent service.

Candidates should read the complete order and download forms only from the official State Police website. This article summarises public information and does not replace the official application documents.
