Álvaro Morata is officially a Leganés player. The club announced on 28 August 2026 that it had reached an agreement with Como 1907 to take the Spain striker on loan for the entire 2026/27 season.

The agreement includes a purchase option at the end of the campaign. Leganés also confirmed that Morata will wear number 21 and immediately join training under Rubén Albés.

The move brings the Spain captain back to LaLiga after his recent spells in Italy and Turkey. Morata previously played in Spain's top flight with Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid.

The loan and purchase option are club-confirmed facts. Leganés did not disclose a fee, salary or the value of the option, so any such figure remains unconfirmed.
