Barcelona have suffered a double defensive blow ahead of two major fixtures. The club have confirmed that Eric García sustained a right-thigh injury and is expected to be unavailable for three to four weeks.

KOUNDÉ OUT AGAINST PSG

Jules Koundé has a left-ankle sprain. Barcelona have explicitly announced that the France defender will not be available for the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

EL CLÁSICO REMAINS IN DOUBT

The club have not definitively ruled Koundé out of El Clásico against Real Madrid on October 25. His availability will depend on how the injury develops over the coming days, so his participation cannot yet be treated as confirmed.

WHAT IS CONFIRMED

The three-to-four-week timetable applies to Eric García. For Koundé, the club have confirmed only that he will miss PSG and have left his status for Real Madrid open. Barcelona have announced neither surgery nor an exact return date for either player.
