STATUS: OFFICIAL
Ferran Torres has left Spain's national-team camp because of an ankle issue, the Spanish Football Federation announced on October 2, 2026. The forward will not be available for the upcoming Nations League fixtures.
Carlos Espí has been called up in his place. Spain host the Czech Republic in Oviedo on October 3 before travelling to face Croatia on October 6.
The announcement confirms the withdrawal and replacement but does not specify the severity of the injury or a recovery timetable. There is therefore no official basis yet for saying how long Torres could also be unavailable at club level.
