Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed a major absence before their Champions League meeting with Barcelona. Nuno Mendes sustained a left-thigh injury against Strasbourg and will remain out for the next few weeks.
THE CLUB CONFIRMATION
PSG’s medical bulletin identifies the injured area and provides a broad recovery window, but it gives no more detailed diagnosis or exact return date. The number of matches the defender will miss therefore cannot yet be established.
OUT AGAINST BARCELONA
PSG host Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. UEFA lists the fixture in the league-phase calendar, while the multi-week absence confirmed by the club rules Mendes out of the match.
WHAT REMAINS OPEN
PSG have not said whether the injury requires a procedure, set a return date or confirmed who will replace Mendes in the starting XI. Any more precise timetable would require a fresh medical update from the club.
