STATUS: OFFICIAL TRANSFER

Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona confirmed on 15 August 2026 that Ferran Torres has completed a transfer to the French champions. The Spain forward has signed with PSG until 2031 and will wear the number 9 shirt.

The announcement changes the status of the story from “reported negotiations” to an “official transfer”. PSG state that the club has secured the player’s services, while Barcelona confirm that the two clubs reached an agreement for his move.

Neither club published the fee, payment structure, bonuses or salary. ON MEDIA.AL therefore does not present financial estimates reported elsewhere as an official figure.

A NEW OPTION FOR PSG’S ATTACK

Torres moves to Paris after four and a half seasons at Barcelona. The Catalan club say he made 207 appearances, scored 65 goals and supplied seven assists in blaugrana colours.

He won seven trophies during that spell: three Spanish league titles, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups. Barcelona add that he shared the 2025/26 Zarra Trophy with Lamine Yamal as La Liga’s leading Spanish scorer after registering 16 league goals.

PSG present the 26-year-old as a Spain international and World Cup winner. He will reunite in Paris with Luis Enrique, the coach under whom he previously played for the national team.

THE ROAD TO PARIS

Torres developed in Valencia’s academy and made his La Liga debut with the club. He later joined Manchester City before moving to Barcelona in December 2021.

The signing gives PSG a player capable of operating in several attacking roles, with experience in La Liga, the Premier League, the Champions League and international football.

WHAT IS CONFIRMED

The permanent transfer, the contract until 2031 and the number 9 shirt are confirmed. The fee, salary and other financial clauses have not been disclosed by the clubs.
