Rafael Leão is officially a Galatasaray player. The Turkish club announced on 30 August 2026 that an agreement had been reached with AC Milan and that the Portugal forward had signed a four-year contract beginning with the 2026/27 season.
Galatasaray's disclosure confirms a fixed transfer fee of €38 million. Milan will also receive 20 per cent of the profit from a future sale of Leão. The player is guaranteed a net salary of €10 million in each of the four seasons.
AC Milan separately confirmed the permanent transfer and thanked Leão for his seven seasons in red and black. The development therefore moves from a reported agreement to a completed transfer announced by both clubs.
Leão leaves Milan after winning the 2021/22 Serie A title and the 2024 Italian Super Cup. He begins a new chapter at Galatasaray with the principal terms of the deal disclosed by the buying club.
STATUS: OFFICIAL — the permanent transfer, fixed fee, four-year contract, salary and future-sale clause are confirmed by Galatasaray; Milan have confirmed the permanent departure.
