STATUS: OFFICIAL — OCTOBER 14, 2026, 16:02
Lega Serie A have published the disciplinary decisions for Matchday 6 of the 2026/27 season. Luciano Spalletti and Fabio Pisacane have each been suspended for one match after the tension that followed Cagliari’s 1-1 draw with Juventus.
WHAT THE SPORTING JUDGE RULED
In official communication No. 47, the Sporting Judge says Spalletti adopted a provocative attitude towards the opposing coach after the match, creating a moment of tension between members of the two benches.
Pisacane was suspended for reacting to the opposing coach’s provocative behaviour and, according to the ruling, fuelling the tension between the two benches. Both will serve one-match bans.
THREE PLAYERS ALSO OUT FOR ONE MATCH
Lega Serie A also confirmed one-match suspensions for Atalanta’s Eljif Elmas, Monza’s Lorenzo Lucchesi and Roma’s Donyell Malen.
The ruling says Elmas and Malen were responsible for serious foul play. Lucchesi was punished for a foul on an opponent who had a clear goalscoring opportunity.
WHAT IS CONFIRMED
The suspensions and the reasons for them were published by Lega Serie A in its notice and official communication dated October 13. This report does not add claims about further sanctions or additional measures that are not listed in the ruling.
