STATUS: REPORTED AGREEMENT — NOT AN OFFICIAL TRANSFER
Crystal Palace are reported to have reached an agreement with Chelsea to take Axel Disasi on loan. The Guardian published the development on 21 August 2026, while Standard Sport reported that the deal is expected to run for the season and that the defender is due to undergo a medical on Friday.
Neither Crystal Palace nor Chelsea has yet issued an official announcement. ON MEDIA.AL is therefore classifying the story as a “reported agreement”, not a completed transfer.
WHAT IS KNOWN
Disasi, 28, is a centre-back with Premier League experience. According to the reports, Palace have selected him as defensive reinforcement after Maxence Lacroix moved to Chelsea. The south London club considered other options before reportedly finding an agreement for the France international.
Standard Sport describes the move as a season-long loan. The clubs have not, however, disclosed whether the arrangement includes an option or obligation to buy, a loan fee or a salary split. None of those details is being presented as settled fact.
WHAT REMAINS UNCONFIRMED
- Completion of the medical. - Signed and registered paperwork. - Financial terms and any possible purchase clause. - An official announcement from Crystal Palace or Chelsea.
Until one of the clubs communicates publicly, the agreement can still change or fail to close. This is a concrete development reported by identifiable outlets, but it is not yet an official transfer.
