Aston Villa have made a major breakthrough in their pursuit of Ibrahim Mbaye. Sky Sports reported on 29 August 2026 that the club had reached a verbal agreement to sign the 18-year-old Paris Saint-Germain winger.
The report says the contract is being finalised and a medical is expected over the weekend. The package is valued at £47 million, but neither Aston Villa nor PSG has confirmed that figure.
Mbaye operates predominantly from the right wing. He made 24 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists, according to the figures cited by Sky Sports.
