STATUS: REPORTED TALKS
Newcastle United are close to signing Matias Fernández-Pardo after reaching a reported agreement with Lille, according to Sky Sports and other identifiable Deadline Day reports.
Sky Sports reports that the 21-year-old Belgium forward has arrived in Newcastle to complete the next steps of the operation. The outlet places the package at around £55 million, but that figure has not been confirmed by Newcastle or Lille and remains reported information only.
Fernández-Pardo can play wide or in central attacking roles. He scored eight goals in 29 Ligue 1 appearances last season and has been part of the Belgium national-team set-up.
